The Systems and Control group focuses on the research of control systems and optimization. A major focus is on multi-input multi-output feedback systems; algebraic theory of continuous-time and discrete-time linear control systems; decentralized control systems; simultaneous stabilization. For optimization, the emphasis is on the development of computational algorithms and the application to real world problems such as VLSI physical design automation, etc.
